Job Summary: You will engage primarily as a Family Medicine physician educator with experience practicing Obstetrics. Teaching residents as a core faculty member of the Family Medicine residency program. Administrative duties will include participation in the decision-making process of the department. Otherduties include but are limited to teaching and liaison activities with other departments when appropriate, professional and personal counseling of medical students, preparation and delivery of appropriate lectures and seminars, and provision of direct patientcare through the department's medical service group. Overall supervision is provided by the Chair of the Department of Family Medicine, College of Medicine, SUNY Upstate Medical University.Activities:Clinical role will include establishing an appropriate panel of patients for the outpatient setting, performing OB services including deliveries, and call coverage for the OB Service. Teaching role will include precepting residents, participating in curriculum development, deliver resident lectures. May also include medical student teaching. Other duties as directed by senior members of the Department of Family Medicine, including the Department Chair, Medical Director, and/or Residency Director. Minimum Qualifications: Family Medicine MD/DO, NYS license, board-certified. Preferred Qualifications: 2-3 years experience working in an outpatient Family Medicine with obstetrics practice preferred Work Days: Generally M-F 8am-5pm some Sat mornings and occasional early morning or early evening meetings Salary Range/Pay Rate: DOQ Message to Applicants: Please submit CV and cover letter with application.
