Central District Health (CDH) ( is currently recruiting for a motivated individual to join our dedicated group of public health professionals as a Clinical Assistant Supervisor in ourWomen, Infants and Children (WIC) ( team. Educational benefits include up to $2500 per year tuition reimbursement and student loan forgiveness ( .Typical Duties:Supervisory Duties:+ Provides supervision of clinical assistant staff;+ Writes annual performance evaluations for assigned staff;+ Performs regular chart audits and observation of staff;+ Sets up and maintains staff schedules in scheduling system for clinical assistants;Clinical Assistant Duties:+ Performs paraprofessional clinical duties; establishes and maintains client records, gathers client data and provides health and community program resource information to clients;+ Interviews clients to obtain and document detailed personal data including health and dietary information;+ Explains services and programs, determines client eligibility, uses information to establish needs and adapts services for clients;+ Obtains, processes, and reads results of height, weight and hemoglobin;+ Describes program requirements, client rights and obligations;+ Provides health and nutrition information to groups and individuals using professionally prepared materials;+ Distributes program outreach materials;+ Contacts clients about program services;+ Compiles data for and creates process to manage/monitor program reports.Minimum Qualifications:Some knowledge of:+ Supervisory practices;+ Health and nutritional needs of adults and children.Experience interviewing and eliciting personal information; adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing while numbers, fractions, and decimals; recording information accurately and legibly.Preferred Qualifications (these are not required, however, having these qualifications may increase your overall ranking):+ Experience in a customer service role;+ Experience collecting blood samples in a clinic setting;+ Experience measuring height and weight;+ Experience giving presentations to groups or conducting training sessions;+ Ability to speak, write and read both English and Spanish.Supplemental Information:Please note: The successful candidate will be required to pass a fingerprint-based background check.Thank you for your interest in joining Central District Health's team!If you have questions about this position please contact us at:Email:[email protected]Phone: 208.###.####CDH is a Tobacco-Free Workplace.
