Assisting clinician during examinations (i.e. obtaining, measuring and recording routine information such as temperature and blood pressure, and performing other related duties according to specific needs of clinic).
Working with interdisciplinary team including other clinical assistants, physicians, advanced practice providers, social workers, child life specialist and administrative staff
Assisting clinicians during invasive and noninvasive procedures.
Transporting patients, supplies and equipment as needed.
Maintaining, cleaning and ordering department specific equipment.
Scheduling, receiving and/or registering patients, visitors and staff for appointments or procedures.
Collecting, verifying and recording required information according to established procedures and instructions.
Identifying and reporting unusual findings or changes in patient condition to Registered Nurse, advanced practice provider and or physician.
Obtaining records, files and/or results for appointments and entering related information on appropriate computer systems.
Answering, screening and routing telephone calls and performing general office support tasks.
Working Monday-Friday, 5-8 hour shifts, or 4-10 hour shifts.
Rotating to Boston and Waltham sites.
To qualify, you must have:
1 year of Clinical Assistant/Nursing experience.
Medical Assistant experience or CAII strongly preferred.
A HS Diploma or equivalent.
The ability to: exchange information on factual matters, schedule appointments, greet visitors, explain hospital policies and relay messages to appropriate personnel. This type of interaction requires courtesy and tact when dealing with patients, visitors and/or hospital employees.
