Our company culture is one of warmth and inclusivity to both staff and clients.SUMMARYThe Clinical Assistant (CA) is vital in supporting the healthcare team by managing various administrative and clinical duties in an outpatient psychiatric setting. Working directly with providers, office teams, and clients, the CA assists in delivering high-quality patient healthcare. This role ensures a compassionate, organized, and efficient client experience while supporting clinicians with timely, reliable, and accurate assistance. The CA is responsible for client preparation, assisting in procedures, managing documentation, and maintaining clinical standards according to established protocols.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESClinical Responsibilities
- Welcome, receive, and prepare clients for appointments and procedures.
- Conduct client interviews, measure and record vital signs, and document client information into the electronic health record (EHR).
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens in accordance with established protocols.
- Assist with medication reviews, prior authorization and referral processes and ensure the timely flow of client care.
- Maintains workstations, client rooms, and examination areas in a manner consistent with OSHA standards and Universal Precautions procedures.
- Ensure compliance with clinical documentation standards, maintaining timely and accurate records in the EHR.
- Participates in continuing education to continually improve skills and abilities and stays abreast of current technologies and practices.
- Maintain all applicable certifications (ex. BLS).
- Apply safety principles as per organizational policies and procedures.
- Ensures compliance with legal issues- including but not limited to client confidentiality and risk management according to federal, state, and local regulations.
- Adjusts to fluctuating peaks in client flow, acuity, and other operation demands while maintaining quality high-quality care delivery.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills with all team members and assist as needed to ensure a smooth operation.
- Receive and screen phone calls, answer client inquiries, and route messages appropriately.
- Schedule client appointments and manage the client flow within the office.
- Maintain accurate office and department records.
- Utilize EHR, phone systems, and other necessary technology tools to enhance clinic operations.
- Monitor and manage medical supplies inventory, ordering replacements when necessary.

- Be punctual and reliable, showing commitment to working as part of a team.
- Assist team members and the office as needed, offering flexibility in support of colleagues.
- Must possess good judgment, attention to detail, and ability to make sound decisions.
- Strong organizational skills and flexibility to handle shifting priorities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

- Occasional exposure to bloodborne and airborne pathogens or infectious materials.
- Moderate noise levels in the work environment.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
- Equipment used: Computers, copiers, and other standard office devices.
QUALIFICATIONSMinimum:
- High school diploma or equivalent, formal Medical Assistant training or direct work experience preferred.
- Undergraduate in Psychology or Social Sciences preferred.
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
- Good judgment, detail-oriented, and highly organized with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
- Maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Preferred: Basic Life Support (active AHA Provider Certification)
