Clinical Care Technician, Admission Transition UnitReq #:000#######Category:Nurses AideStatus:Full-TimeShift:NightFacility:RWJ New BrunswickDepartment:Admission Transition UnitLocation:Main Hospital - New Brunswick, One Robert Wood Johnson Place, New Brunswick, NJ 08901Job Overview:RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Clinical Care Technician for our Admission Transition Unit, in our New Brunswick Facility. Admission Transition Unit (ATU) is a 10-bed inpatient unit primarily for patients who require a higher level of care and closer monitoring. The ATU team demonstrates expertise, flexibility, resilience, effective communication and interpersonal skills, and teamwork. EMA, a sister unit to ATU, is an 8-bed unit staffed by 2 RNs and a CCT.A Day in the Life of a Clinical Care Tech (Video Link Below) High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.+ Basic Life Support (CPR) through American Heart AssociationPreferred:+ Previous nursing assistant experience or clinical experience from an accredited nursing program preferred.+ Certified nursing assistant preferred.Scheduling Requirements:+ Night Shift, 40 hours per week, 11p-7:30a+ Every other weekend and 3 of 6 holidaysEssential Functions:+ The CCT is a direct patient caregiver who assists patients with activities of daily living and provides care to patients including taking vital signs, EKGs, performing phlebotomy, assisting or providing patients with bedside care (i.e. bathing, mouth care, skin care)+ Providing patient care based on physical, education, safety, and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients in assigned service+ Providing for effective and safe patient outcomes through practice, judgment, and critical actions+ Ongoing communication with patients and nursing colleagues regarding status of patient s care+ Participating in collaboration of our patient's plan of care from admission to discharge to ensure safe care transitionOther Duties:Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
