Job Summary
Oversees the clinical operations of Employer Health Services (EHS) programs. Provides leadership, guidance, resource abilities, and advanced knowledge and skills to the programs. Plans, develops, and organizes the activities of the assigned clinical staff, ensuring effective and efficient delivery of quality healthcare.Accountabilities
Provides direct patient care to support EHS programs as needed in assigned area, including occupational health and wellness and prevention. Available to fill in clinical needs at on-site occupational health clinics to ensure continuous contracted coverage. - 20%
Participates in the assessment of clinical staffing needs by assisting EHS operations manager in maintaining master work schedules, adjusting staffing level and forecasting staffing need based on contractual agreements. - 20%
Collaborates with Employer Health Services administrative staff to ensure payroll is prepared and submitted in accurate and timely manner. Ensures compliance by all employees with time and attendance guidelines. Analyses data to project staffing needs and ensure adequate staff for on-site services and programs. Collaborates with EHS operations manager to ensure adequate staffing to ensure operational effectiveness and quality. - 15%
Develops and conducts clinical orientation and in-service training for EHS clinical staff. Serves as a chief liaison between the clinical staff, operations manager, director of operations, and medical director as needed. - 10%
Acts as a clinical resource to staff and employers and maintains a high level of expertise in workers compensation regulations, CDC, DOT, OSHA, DHEC, DEA, and other regulatory agency policies and procedures. Monitors and maintains regulatory certificates for EHS programs. Receives and maintains train the trainer for DOT and non-DOT urine drug collection and breath alcohol testing. - 10%
Monitors local, state, and federal regulations affecting operations and assists with the development, implementation and monitoring of appropriate policies and procedures. - 5%
Assists with administrative needs to support efficient and timely product delivery to client companies, - 5%
Serves as liaison between ancillary system departments to trouble shoot and resolve operational issues for EHS program. - 5%
Contacts vendors for repair and routine service of medical equipment. Collaborates with EHS Operations Manager for equipment needs, quotes, proposals and requests. - 5%
Acts as a problem-solver and addressing EHS staff concerns and operational problems in the absence of the operations manager. - 5%
Supervisory/Management Responsibilities
This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.
Minimum Requirements
Associate's Degree - Nursing
3 years - clinical field of certification or licensure
Required Certification, Registration, Licensure
SC RN License
DOT UDS/BAT Train the Trainer certification within 6 months of hire
NIOSH Spirometry and CAOHC Audiometric certification within 12 months of hire
Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities
Occupational Health, Primary Care, Emergency/Urgent Care, and/or Episodic care experience - Preferred
Phlebotomy
Clinical office equipment, Microsoft Office programs
Basic computer skills with proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and databases
Data entry skills
Mathematical skills
Knowledge of office equipment (fax/copier)
