Salary ranges from $66,000 - $70,000 annually depending on Experience and Qualifications.Position Summary:Provide leadership and oversight for all aspects of skill acquisition and behavior reduction programs for school aged children with autism in a NYS Education Dept. Chapter 853 residential school program. This includes observing and analyzing learning behaviors, evaluating progress, coordinating activities, and recommending program modifications. The clinical coordinator will also provide staff supervision and training in regards to instructional methods and lead/coordinate student review meetings with the treatment team.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Supervise all educational and residential programming in the home and school settings for students with ASD and ID in a residential school programRecommend methods of instruction derived from ABA literature and evidence based practiceProvide direct supervision to behavioral services staff within the departmentSupervise teachers, managers, and treatment team(s) related to skill acquisition and behavior reduction methods for studentsUtilize assessment tools and make recommendations related to assessment and/or curriculum materials/development, as appropriate.Assist in open and ongoing communication with the families and /or district representatives.Lead student program reviews and provide oversight for visual analysis and data based decision making. Ensure quality programming for all students.Participate in screenings of new students when needed to determine appropriateness of referral.Coordinate and participate in the intake/ongoing assessment and transition of students to or from the program.Ensure carryover and consistency of student programming across settings (home/school)Assess and improve staff competencies and knowledge base using Behavior Skills Training methodsParticipate in research and presentation opportunities as well as continuing education. Maintains BCBA certification.Participate in crisis interventionAssumes all responsibilities of Behavior Specialist 3 when neededSupport Director and Assistant Director in applicable administrative functions and initiatives. Manages department when necessary.Adheres to BCBA Ethical Guidelines as well as all applicable agency policies and oversight agency regulations.Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge Requirements:BCBA and Master s degree required with experience developing behavioral interventions for persons with developmental disabilities. Supervisory background and experience with ABLLS-R is highly preferred.Professional verbal and written communication skills; experience publishing research is preferred.Proficiency in or knowledge of using a variety of computer software and e-mail applications, especially Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word; have the aptitude to learn other computer software as necessary.Must be able to lift 50 lbs. independently and assist in lifting weights exceeding 50 lbs.Meet the requirements to drive Springbrook vehicles as required.Be able to perform all physical interventions.Springbrook is an equal opportunity employer.
