The pursuit of excellence is fundamental to employee success and growth within the organization.Under the direct supervision of the Clinical Supervisor or Clinical Director, and in close coordination with program directors, managers and coordinators, the Clinical Coordinator provides clinical support and related administration and coordination duties for assigned programs/catchment area. Additionally, the Clinical Coordinator conducts psychosocial assessments, treatment/service planning, crisis response intervention and stabilization, individual, group and family therapy, and staff training/support as assigned.Duties and Responsibilities:1. Know and respond to Agency philosophy, policies, and Standards ofConduct.2. Understand and comply with all Agency contracts and State regulationsincluding, but not limited to, diagnostic, functional, and treatment criteria(EPSDT)for specialty behavioral health services.3. Works closely with program managers, coordinators, staff, therapists, and collateral professionals to ensure clinical needs of clients are being met. Supports program staff in crisis response and clinical decision making in close consultation with Clinical Supervisor.4. Provides clinical activities including psychosocial assessments,treatment/service plan development, safety plan development, crisisassessments, therapy services, treatment reviews, staff training/support,and clinical program development as assigned. Completesdocumentation of activities in accordance with agency policy.5. Responsible for providing clinical support to intake, triage, and pre-admission procedures for all referrals in assigned catchmentarea/programs. Ensures new clients are linked in a timely manner toproper resources and agency services.6. Provides and documents clinical oversight to ongoing assessment,treatment planning, monthly/quarterly review, and service deliveryprocess. Reviews case documentation regularly to ensure quality of careand compliance with program model and all applicable regulations.7. Ensures proper discharge and after care planning for all clients inassigned catchment area/programs. Completes documentation ofactivities in accordance with agency policy.8. Responsible for staff recruitment, interviewing, and training as directed.9. Ensures that all staff in assigned catchment area/programs meetsprogram and agency training requirements. Identifies ongoing trainingneeds for staff. Develops/conducts training as indicated and/or assigned.10. Completes logs and training sign-in sheets for all clinical supportconducted.11. Meets with staff and Program Manager/Coordinator to monitor clientoutcomes and CQI initiatives as they pertain to program operations andclinical care of clients.12. Responds to critical incidents immediately, provides clinical support and follow-up, and ensures timely, accurate reporting of incidents inaccordance with agency policy.13. Participates in community outreach on behalf of the program, customerservice to referring entities, management meetings/retreats, clinicalseminars, and trainings as assigned.14. Maintains a commitment to evidenced based practice and participates in meetings/consultation groups as assigned.15. Maintains knowledge of and compliance with all policies impacting service delivery (ii.e., CYFD, BHSD, DOH, COA, managed care guidelines,Medicaid regulations, etc.).16. Upholds applicable Code of Ethics (e.g. NASW, ACA, APA).17. Is on-call 24 hours per day, seven (7) days per week with otherprofessionals as designated by the Agency for clients and program staff.18. Performs other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:1. Masters, Doctorate, or Medical Degree from an accredited college oruniversity in Social Work, Guidance and Counseling, Psychology, Psychiatry,Psychiatric Nursing, or related health field, plus any combination or graduate studies in the above areas.2. New Mexico Licensure in one or more of the following: LMSW, LMHC, LAMFT.3. Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a licensed clinician working with SED/NBD children or SMI/SUD adults.4. Ability to develop, organize, plan, and document clinical services; and ability to supervise clinical personnel.5. Ability to maintain professional standards of conduct and effective working relationships with clients, parents, regulatory agencies, and otherprofessionals.6. Must be computer literate in order to effectively maintain compliance with BHSD Standards and requirements for use of computerized clientassessments, data systems, etc.7. Must have and maintain current, valid NM Driver's License. Must also have and maintain clean driving record, as well as auto insurance.8. Bi-lingual/Bi-cultural preferred (English/Spanish).$32 - $36 an hourPay-for-performance (P4P) with Program Support allocation for clinical coordination duties.
