Job Description:

Overview Clinical Dietitian is responsible for the direct nutritional assessment, interview, planning, goal setting, and documentation of patient's nutritional care as prescribed by the physician and in accordance with Recommended Dietary Allowance and scientific principles applicable in a variety of disease conditions. Job Details Responsibilities: Assessing patients' nutritional status and intervening with appropriate medical nutrition therapy (MNT) and/or diet education to improve, Maintaining or optimizing nutrition status and documents in the electronic medical record. Participating in interdisciplinary rounds and various committee meetings. Assisting in the orientation and training of new employees and participates in clinical education of dietetic interns from clinical affiliates. Requirements: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, professionalism, pro-active and customer-service focused 2-3 years clinical experience preferred Experience with EPIC/CBORD preferred. Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition/Dietetics required; Master's Degree and/or advanced certification in nutrition preferred Must have completed a post graduate supervised, Commission on Dietetics Registration approved dietetic internship program and successfully passed the National Registration Examination for Dietitians to become a Registered Dietitian (RD) Certification with New York State (CDN) is required within 1 year of start date Salary Range USD $37.85 - USD $54.88 /Hr. The salary range or rate listed does not include any differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
