Job Details Responsibilities: The Clinical Dietitian assesses the hospitalized patient's nutrition status and provides the appropriate nutrition care in collaboration with the health care team Provides nutrition education to the patient, family member(s) or caregiver(s). Develops appropriate recommendations for nutrition intervention; documents assessments and reassessments, and associated care plans in the electronic medical record. Displays competence with identification of malnutrition and performing nutrition-focused physical exams. Participates with interdisciplinary meetings, hospital committees, community events, and designated focus groups. Communicates with interdisciplinary team members including physicians, MLP's, and nursing staff to coordinate patient care. Requirements: Bachelor Degree in Nutrition/Dietetics required, Master Degree preferred. Must be registered by the AND (CDR), which includes completion of an approved Dietetic Internship program. NYS- CDN required within one year of start date. COMPUTER SKILLS REQUIRED. Hospital Information Management Systems (EPIC & CBORD) knowledge preferred. Must be flexible with work assignments and able to work in a labor intensive work environment. Three to five years of clinical dietetic experience, working as an RD in a hospital- setting required; with one to two years of critical care experience. CNSC preferred Salary Range USD $37.85 - USD $54.89 /Hr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
