RequirementsThe ABA Therapy Clinical Director is responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of ABA therapy programs, ensuring the highest quality of care for clients with autism and other developmental disabilities. This role involves clinical supervision, staff management, program development, administrative duties, and collaboration with families and other stakeholders.Qualifications/Educational Requirements:
Master's degree or higher in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, or related field.Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification and Licensed Behavior Analyst (where required).At least 3 years of experience in providing ABA therapy as a BCBA, with progressively increasing responsibilities.Strong leadership and team management skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in data analysis and evidence-based treatment design.Knowledge of relevant regulations, ethical guidelines, and best practices in ABA therapy.Exhibit continuous professional growth with desire to continue learning as demonstrated by accruing on-going CEUs in supervision, ethics, OBM, and other relevant content areas.Responsibilities/essential functions: The person in this position must be able to perform the following essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation:
Clinical OversightConduct initial assessments and create individualized treatment plans for clients when needed.Provide ongoing clinical supervision, support, and leadership to Behavior Analysts, Behavior Technicians, and other staff.Assist behavior analysts to ensure that therapy programs are evidence-based, ethically sound, and align with best practices in ABA therapy.Guide problem solving among clinical teams.Staff Management and Training:Assist with recruitment, hiring, training, and managing a team of Behavior Analysts, Behavior Technicians, and support staff.Provide effective feedback to Behavior Analysts, Behavior Technicians, and support staff.Provide ongoing professional development opportunities for staff to enhance their clinical skills and knowledge.Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff to ensure high-quality services.Business Innovation:Collaborate with other professionals, such as speech therapists, occupational therapists, and educators, to create comprehensive treatment plans.Stay current in research and developments in ABA therapy to continually improve program effectiveness.Develop and implement new treatment protocols and techniques based on evidence-based practices.Conduct outreach activities in the community to ensure that related providers are aware of ABA and the excellent services offered by Adapt for Life team members.Family Collaboration:Maintain open and effective communication with clients' parents/guardians, keeping them informed about progress, goals, and strategies.Provide training and guidance to clients' parents/guardians to facilitate generalization of skills learned in therapy to the home and community settings.Assist behavior analysts and behavior technicians to facilitate improved communication and interaction with clients' parents/guardians.Assist with team problem solving between clients' parents/guardians and their clinical team members.Administrative Responsibilities:Ensure compliance with all company policies procedures as well as the legal and ethical guidelines related to the application of ABA therapy services.Provide clinical oversight of behavior analysts session notes to ensure they meet the industry standards.Manage scheduling, billing requirements, and documentation related to therapy services.Assist team members in maintaining accurate and organized client records and documentation.Quality Assurance:Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of therapy programs through data analysis and clinical observations.Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance the overall effectiveness of therapy services, such as treatment plan reviews and session note reviews.Collaborate with BCBAs to maximize fulfillment of authorized treatment hours.Leadership and Collaboration:Collaborate with other departments and professionals within the organization to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive approach to client care.Participate in meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities to stay current in the field.Champion and foster a positive clinic culture and carry out the company's mission with all team members.Maintain a clean and presentable clinic environment. Working Conditions
- Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, and stand as well as an ability to lift items up to 50 lbs
- Endurance to move rapidly from a seated position to a standing position to accommodate treatment plan and/ or for the safety of patients.
- Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity enough to operate office equipment, etc.
- Clerical responsibilities and administrative work require appropriate levels of vision and hearing abilities.
- Ability to communicate effectively using a variety of audio and video meeting platforms and electronic devices.
