Position Details:
Eisner Health is seeking a Clinical Director who will supervise the licensed clinical staff within their department as well as provide direct care. Consults and acts as a resource for Center providers and clinical personnel. Participates in the hiring of licensed clinical staff as well as peer reviews.
Job Duties:
1. Provides direct clinical care to patients or clients in their department (consistent with the standards outlined in their job description according to license).
2. Provides consultation, guidance, and supervision to clinical providers in their department, including students, interns, and residents.
3. Provides consultation, guidance, and supervision to other assigned subordinates in their department (such as case managers).
4. Oversees orientation and onboarding of new clinical providers in their department.
5. Assists the Chief Medical Officer in establishing and implementing a system of departmental peer review, pursuant to written procedures
6. Reviews medical records of subordinate providers for completeness, accuracy and quality of care provided.
7. Works with Chief Medical Officer and clinical providers to optimize departmental productivity.
8. Is responsible for coordinating and optimizing the monthly departmental professional staffing calendar.
9. Assists the Chief Medical Officer in the hiring, credentialing, evaluating, counseling, and/or firing of subordinate staff for the department.
10. Conducts and keeps notes of monthly departmental staff meetings.
11. Provides or coordinates in-service and case conferences for the staff in the department.
12. Participates in the Quality Assurance program and is responsible for departmental QA activities.
13. Assists the Chief Medical Officer in the development, implementation, review and/or revision of policies and procedures pertinent to the department.
14. Works closely with the Chief Medical Officer to ensure compliance of licensing requirements and the Standards of Practices for their respective department.
15. Acts as a clinical resource and liaison to the other clinical departments and the Center in general.
16. Acts as a Center representative and liaison to external organizations.
17. Participates in the Center's monthly Clinical Directors' meetings.
18. Consults as needed with the Chief Medical Officer on departmental issues and concerns.
19. Works closely with the Chief Medical Officer on a range of activities and proposals that require Board of Directors' consideration and approval (e.g. new medical programs and services, budget recommendations relative to equipment, supplies and staffing requirements).
