We are seeking a Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist (CDIS) to coordinate and perform day-to-day operations, providing concurrent and/or retrospective reviews to improve documentation of all conditions, treatments, and care plans, ensuring the highest quality of care for our patients. The CDIS will also educate clinical staff on appropriate documentation criteria.Responsibilities/Job Duties:
- Utilize OASIS and coding expertise to guide, train, and support home health clinicians in completing required documentation.
- Conduct concurrent and retrospective reviews of clinical documentation.
- Improve documentation related to patient conditions, treatments, and care plans.
- Participate in performance improvement activities as a member of the Home Care team.
- Provide education to clinical staff on documentation criteria to enhance compliance and quality of care.
Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements:
- Required:
- Must have OASIS experience.
- Current NJ RN license.
- Preferred:
- Experience in Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI).
