General Summary Working collaboratively with and under the leadership of the Community Site Director, Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI), the NWH CDI Lead will provide a key role in contributing to the long-term success of the Mass General Brigham CDI program.
- Facilitates the daily operational workflow of the NWH CDI dept
- Responsible for updating the team on NWH specific CDI reports provided by Solventum and MGB.
- Participate in ongoing process improvement activities.
- Provide content expertise and leadership in the implementation of initiatives as recommended by CDI leadership.
- Responsible for establishing cadence, assisting in agenda preparation, and generating minutes for monthly CDI RN meetings.
- Serve as a content expert resource, responsible for designing and supporting onboarding and ongoing education of CDI team members.
- Improve the quality of clinical documentation in the health record to support appropriate DRG assignment and accurately reflect the severity of illness and risk of mortality for each patient.
- Perform concurrent CDI reviews for designated patient populations in the acute care setting resulting in the identification of clinical documentation improvement opportunities.
- Serve as a role model for professional growth and development through participation in educational programs; attendance of in-service meetings and workshops; and reviews of current CDI literature.
- Support and promote management decisions, goals, and initiatives.
- Participate actively in problem solving and communication with the CDI team.
- Make independent decisions within the scope of the role.
Qualifications RN with a current license required 3 years of clinical documentation improvement experience required
