Job Description: The Clinical Educator will be responsible for assessing training needs, developing, and evaluating while partnering with all departmental staff organization wide as appropriatePlans and develops orientation and training in a manner that engages the learner and produces the desired outcomes of improved performance of individual and groups.Utilizes multiple methods to assess learning needs of individuals and groups.Formal needs assessmentsQuality trendingNew methods/equipmentTrends in healthcareServes as the resource to the department and/or organizational management by participating in quality improvement processes, and suggests innovative ways to use workflow to resolve operational issues/barriers. Evaluates clinical education offerings for effectiveness, transfer of learning and improved performance.Delivers service in a cost-effective and timely manner.Demonstrates commitment to continuous learning for self and others.Works collaboratively with departments to access staff competency.Provide direct patient care when required. Other duties as assigned.QualificationsJob Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited school of nursing/equivalent required, master's degree preferred.Licensure/Certification: Must have current license to practice professional nursing in the state of Ohio. BLS required, Additional certification requirements based upon clinical unit criteria.Experience: 3 or more years of recent clinical experience required. Teaching experience required.Job-related Skills: Computer experience required. Excellent communication and human relation skills when dealing with co-workers, other Center employees, the medical staff, patients, families, and the general public. Attention to detail and accuracy required.Medium Work: Exerting up to 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10-25 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible up to 10 pounds amount of force often. Position may require frequent standing and walking.
