Responsibilities includes teaching at least 1 clinical course per semester, supervising undergraduate or graduate SLP students assigned to the clinical course and assumes all professional SLP responsibilities for client care.Roles and ResponsibilitiesInstructor for undergraduate and/or graduate level clinical course and clinical grade submissionLead planning and orientation meetings for clinical preparation including administrative tasks, student clinical requirements, EMR training and clinical case development.Provide direct clinical supervision and professionally responsibility for screening and diagnostic evaluations of all clients assigned following Iona University Speech, Language and Hearing Clinic protocols, adhering to ASHA and state ethical standards of practice for in person and remote sessions.Provide direct clinical supervision and professionally responsibility for design/treatment sessions following Iona University Speech, Language and Hearing Clinic protocols, adhering to ASHA and state ethical standards of practice for in person and remote sessions.Provide direct client services for therapy and evaluation demonstration and student absences.Demonstrate effective clinical teaching mentoring students to develop their clinical knowledge and skills, adhering to the clinic protocols, and following ASHA's supervisory guidelines.Review all clinical reporting and providing feedback for the development of professional writing.Support students with verbal reporting and client related interactions Full responsibility for client record / EMR chartProvide summative and formative constructive clinical performance feedback frequently to support formal midterm and final student evaluations completed through Calipso.Schedule and complete midterm and final student meetingsMaintain accurate student records on Calipso including student clinical requirements and clock hours.Assist the Director with administrative tasks such as CALIPSO, CAA requirements and participation in clinical staff meetingsPerform other job-related duties including workshops to students and generating new therapy programsHours variable (including evenings and weekend)QualificationsRequired ExperienceMaster's Degree in Speech-Language PathologyNew York State LicensureASHA Membership in Speech-Language PathologyTSSLD or TSHH as appropriateMinimum of 3 to 5 years of clinical experience Maintenance of professional liabilityProfessional is responsible for credentialingAbout Iona University/EEO language Founded in 1940, Iona University is a master's-granting private, Catholic, coeducational institution of learning in the tradition of the Edmund Rice Christian Brothers.
