Responsibilities: Conducts training sessions, workshops, and hands-on demonstrations to educate staff on sterile processing techniques, infection control practices, and equipment operation.Develops and delivers comprehensive training programs for sterile processing staff, including orientation programs for new hires and ongoing education for existing staff.Collaborates with department managers and supervisors to identify training needs and develop customized educational plans to address specific areas of improvement.Stays up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to sterile processing, and incorporate this knowledge into training programs.Evaluates the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback, and performance evaluations, and make necessary adjustments to ensure continuous improvement.Participates in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and compliance activities to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and best practices.Maintains accurate documentation of training activities, attendance records, and staff certifications.Performs other duties as reasonably required or assigned. Qualifications: EDUCATION:Required: Associates DegreePreferred: Bachelors DegreeEXPERIENCE:Required: 5-7 years; experience as a Surgical Technologist or Sterile Processing Technician.LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:Required: CRCST Certified Central Sterile Tech; CHL and CIS within one year of employmentPreferred: CST Cert Surgical Technologist
