CORE JOB SUMMARY
The Division of Nuclear Medicine in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology, University of Miami Health System and Leonard Miller School of Medicine, is seeking a fellowship-trained candidate for a full-time faculty position at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Professor in the clinical educator track.
The successful applicant will join a faculty of 70 clinical radiologists involved in imaging at multiple facilities, including Jackson Memorial Hospital and the University of Miami Hospitals and Clinics. CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
- Active clinical practice in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
- Participation in the advancement and education of Nuclear Medicine diagnostic radiology medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Experience in general Nuclear Medicine studies such as bone scans, thyroid imaging, nuclear cardiology, renal, gastric, lymphatic, brain, and other types of imaging is required.
- Experience with state-of-the-art hybrid SPECT/CT and PET/CT imaging is required.
- Experience in radiopharmaceutical therapy and theranostics is highly desired.
- Supervise the performance of technical personnel.
- Be part of the on-call schedule.
- Exercise quality assurance as related to the practice of Nuclear Medicine.
- Provide Nuclear Medicine consultation as requested.
- Staff off-site outpatient imaging sites as requested by the Division Director or Chair.
- Assume administrative responsibilities related to the practice of Nuclear Medicine.
- Participate in teaching activities related to Nuclear Medicine.
- Potential participation in the development and management of new and ongoing clinical research.
- Serve on Departmental and University committees as requested by the Chair.
CORE QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Medical Degree
- Diagnostic Radiology Residency
- Nuclear Medicine Fellowship
Certification and Licensing:
- American Board of Radiology (ABR) Certified or Board Eligible
- Nuclear Medicine Board (ABNM) Certified or Board Eligible
- Florida Medical License or Eligible
Experience:
- Competitive applicants will have completed at least 1 year of dedicated subspecialty fellowship training in Nuclear Medicine.
