Job Description:
Clinical Informatics Manager Glenwood Springs, CO100-140K+ 10K Signing Bonus + Full Benefits Responsibilities:
  • Leads a team of informaticists and staff in the pursuit of excellence in the delivery of electronic health records, measured not only by meeting functional requirements and achieving clinical operational objectives, promote software/product enhancements, user and staff training, and customer service.
  • Works with the Executive Director in developing short-term and long-term information technology strategic plans and drive and manage the Clinical Informatics initiative for the organization.
  • Oversees the Clinical Informatics team which provides informatics services to the hospital.
  • Acts as a liaison between clinical staff and the IT department, meeting to support clinical IT systems and clinical practice. Develops a high level of coordination between the complex technology environment, the IT staff, and contracted application support teams.
  • Forms a partnership with our clinical vendors and strives to make a model site for their clinical suite of products.
  • Builds trust and a reputation of service delivery excellence with physicians, nurses, executives, clinicians and key stake holders.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's Degree required, master's degree preferred.
    • Current Colorado RN license or current multi-state compact license.
    • Registered Nurse preferred, not required.
    Experience:
    • Knowledge of Word Processing software, Spreadsheet software, Development software, Internet software, Project Management software, Healthcare Informatics and Database software, clinical application dictionary level build and support tools.
    • At least 5 years' experience in a hospital clinical setting preferred.

    • Demonstrated project management skills: timeline development and tracking, planning, crisis management and team development and leadership.

    • Demonstrated interpersonal skills: diplomacy, goal setting, group processes, listening, written and oral communication.
    • Understanding of budget, finance and performance review
