Services are delivered by a team of Master's level clinicians, Bachelor's level Youth & Family Support Workers, and Family Partners. The services offered range from In-Home Therapy, Intensive Care Coordination, Family Support & Training and Therapeutic Mentoring. Treatment is generally intensive in nature and delivered using a strength-based, resilience-focused, wraparound philosophy. Wayside Lowell seeks Master's level interns who are in their second/final year of graduate program and available for a minimum of 20 hours per week who can commit to a full academic year (August - May). Scheduling must be flexible to meet the needs of the families assigned. Interns generally carry about 3-4 IHT cases. Clients are referred from the local school system, Department of Children and Families, Department of Mental Health, and a variety of community and mental health providers. Referrals to services are designed to address such issues as behavior management, mental health symptom management, crisis stabilization, family conflict, substance abuse, household management, parent education, access to resources and more. Using the IHT Practice Profile model, clinicians collaborate with families and system partners to provide comprehensive assessments, goal formulation, therapeutic, evidence-based intervention, care coordination and advocacy. This is an excellent placement for confident students who will receive ample support from a strong clinical team and will also function autonomously in the community. Individual supervision is provided weekly by an independently licensed supervisor. Group supervision is also provided on a monthly basis by an independently licensed clinician. Clinical and/or academic exposure to family work is recommended.Other roles may be considered pending students' needs and interests. Internship Requirements:
