Job Description:
Clinlab.AI is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS) to join our team. At Clinlab.AI, our mission is to revolutionize patient care by aggregating and delivering insightful information rather than just numerical results. We empower Physician Office Laboratories to provide the same high-quality care that leading reference or hospital labs offer nationwide, right within the Physician Office itself. In this position, you will perform testing and lead a team of other technicians to perform testing in the Chemistry, Special Chemistry, Hematology and/or Coagulation Departments.Responsibilities:Team Leadership:
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, providing a positive and empathetic understanding to all physicians and their staff.
  • Collaborate with the Lab Staff and Office Staff to ensure timely and accurate testing.
  • Train and onboard and lead lab assistants and technicians in performing their jobs.
  • Travel to neighboring labs to provide support and coverage as needed.
Test Administration:
  • Perform lab tests, including Chemistry, Immunoassay, Hematology, Molecular accurately.
  • Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling, processing, test analysis, reporting, and record-keeping of patient test results.
  • Demonstrate excellent troubleshooting skills on automated instruments.
  • Provide accurate test results within the expected turnaround time.
Compliance & QA:
  • Maintain proficiency testing records, with experience in CAP, API, AAB, MLE, or other CLIA approved proficiency testing.
  • Adhere to the laboratory's quality control policies, document all quality control activities, instrument and procedural calibrations, and maintenance.
  • Comply with CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines.
  • Identify and address problems that may impact test performance or result reporting promptly.
  • Document all corrective actions taken when test systems deviate from the laboratory's established performance specifications.
Qualification Requirement:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology or related life science.
  • Valid California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license with ASCP certification.
  • 2+ years previous work experience in a clinical laboratory as a CLS.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to set priorities.
  • Proficiency in computer skills and experience with a laboratory information system.
  • Experience as a Generalist in Chemistry, Immunology, and Hematology.
  • Familiarity with the Beckman AU Systems, Beckman Access Systems, or Roche Cobas System is a plus.
