Job Description:
Job SummaryThis role implements the hospital and laboratory mission, goals, and objectives. This includes the performance of clinical laboratory exams, proficient testing, quality control, professional consultation, instrument maintenance and validation, testing management, instructing and evaluating students, and other functions toward the attainment of these goals.Experience
  • One year of experience in an approved laboratory (the internship year is applicable).
Education
  • Baccalaureate degree in medical technology or related science.
  • Twelve months of clinical education in a school of medical technology or its equivalent accepted by certification agencies.
License & Certifications
  • Certified Medical Technologist/Clinical Lab Scientist through ASCP or NCA or CLIA approved equivalent.
Additional Requirements
  • Independent judgment and initiative required to schedule, organize, and plan work.
  • Ability to teach medical technology students on how to process specimens and answer computer-related questions.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in emergency situations including working additional hours or shifts.
  • Ability to work efficiently, accurately, and alertly for extended periods of time, and under stress, to ensure against errors. Above average manual dexterity.
  • Effective communication skills, use of computer systems, listening, speaking, writing and reading.
  • Knowledge of HIS and LIS.
  • Assorted laboratory analyzers and equipment appropriate to scope of position and dependent upon current technology.

  • Monday- Friday
  • 7:30 am-4pm
