Pay: Up to $55 per hour DOE

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join our client, a global pharmaceutical company. This role is essential in performing laboratory testing, recording and reviewing test results, and preparing and labeling blood components, all while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform laboratory testing, including hematology counts (CBC) and pH measurements.
• Accurately record, interpret, and report test results while managing any unacceptable findings.
• Prepare and label blood components, handle samples for send-out testing, and manage inventory levels of supplies and reagents.
• Conduct quality control, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, cGMPs, FDA regulations, and safety protocols.
• Engage in process improvement discussions and document corrective actions as needed.
• Maintain laboratory records, adhere to quality standards, and present a professional image to customers.

Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you should have:

• A Bachelor's degree in biological, physical, or chemical sciences, or medical technology (preferred).
• At least 1 year of prior CLS experience (preferred) and a valid state CLS Generalist license.
• MT (ASCP) certification and experience in blood donor centers or transfusion services are a plus.
• Strong organizational, communication, and technical skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• The ability to prioritize tasks, analyze data, and handle routine and non-routine challenges effectively.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

• This position involves working in laboratory, donor center, or office environments with regular exposure to chemicals, bloodborne pathogens, and other materials. It requires standing or sitting for extended periods, lifting/moving items (up to 50 lbs.), and adherence to PPE and safety protocols.
