Description Position at MedExpress Job Summary The Clinical Lead will collaborate with Center Managers, field and administrative leadership in the overall responsibility for the clinical functions of the centers to ensure maximum utilization of resources and the efficient and quality delivery of services.
Primary Responsibilities: - Serves as a resource for clinical staff, providers and Center Managers regarding clinical workflows, documentation, quality control, daily and monthly checklists, training metrics and MedExpress Patient Safety Goals, providing guidance to staff on clinical policies and procedures.
- Leads clinical training and staff development programs at the center level in conjunction with Administrative Training team.
- Performs Quarterly Clinical Center Inspections, clinical observations for patient safety metrics, and 10 chart reviews per center per QTR.
- Utilize the MedExpress Continual Readiness Checklist to ensure compliance with Optum and accreditation Standards, assisting the Center Manager with center readiness for accreditation and inspections.
- Optimizes clinical performance by reviewing quality metrics and inspections to identify trends for their centers, communicating opportunities for improvement to Center Manager, Area Leadership, and Administrative Quality and Training Teams.
- Collaborates with Administrative Quality Team to implement PDSA to initiate improvements at the center level.
- Supports the Center Manager if remediation/re-education training of clinical staff is needed.
- Coordinates the EHS Certification of all clinical staff in alignment with DOT Regulations.
- Ensures that new hire training, ongoing training, and annual clinical competencies are completed.
- Support the roles of the Clinical Preceptor and EHS Field trainers, reinforcing changes that impact their precepting and leading train the trainer sessions.
- Documents training received in the employee training record for training delivered in-field.
- Interviews clinical candidates in partnership with Center Manager.
- Promote the use of RL Datix for adverse event and near miss reporting.
- Attend monthly Clinical Operations/Training calls and Clinical Communication Forum (CCF) and ensuring relevant information is placed in the Communication Binder for staff to review and acknowledge.
Qualifications: Experience: - LPN, EMT-P, RT or MA with 3 years of clinical experience; training experience preferred.
- Knowledge of MedExpress policies and procedures, OSHA and HIPAA regulations.
- Certification as a Master EHS (UDS/BAT) Trainer; will obtain if not currently certified. Partner with a Clinical Lead who is certified as an EHS Trainer until certified.
Requirements: - Scheduling flexibility based upon business need. Days of the week to be determined by Area Leadership and may include weekends. Administrative time allocated for chart reviews, meetings, personal ongoing education or training, and candidate interviews.
- Provides direct patient care as assigned by the Area Leadership - 25 to 50% of their time/week, ensuring that Area Directors are aware of any clinical competency or training needs which may need to be factored into their staffing assignment.

Education: - Certification required for clinical based role.
