Slingshot AI

Location: New York,NY, USA

Date: 2024-09-16T19:37:05Z

Job Description:

We are seeking an open-minded, experienced, and highly credentialed mental health professional to advise our Content team. At Slingshot, you'd be a critical member of the cross-functional team building Ash, a next-generation therapy app powered by generative AI. Our model has already displayed great promise and capability, but our content team needs your guidance to ensure its clinical soundness, broaden its knowledge base, and refine its therapeutic intuition. What you'd do

  • Advise a team of writers as they craft warm, insightful conversations about a vast range of mental health topics.
  • Review conversation drafts, educate our writers on therapeutic techniques, and evaluate our overall clinical approach, providing actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Test Ash's ability to handle various patient scenarios and share extensive, clinically informed feedback with our Product team.
  • Collaborate with our Conversational Design Lead to develop and execute a long-term vision for the company's approach to content and clinical effectiveness.
  • Commit 2-3 full workdays each week to Slingshot while maintaining your own clinical practice.
Who you are
  • You are a licensed, practicing mental health professional with at least three years of experience treating patients. Ideally, you've earned your PhD or Psy-D, but we will also consider outstanding candidates with a master's degrees in social work, mental health counseling, or marriage and family therapy.
  • You have extensive experience treating severe, acute mental health issues, and are well-versed in safety protocols for patients at risk of harming themselves or others. You prioritize your patients' well-being above all, and you're eager to help us do the same when it comes to our user base.
  • You have in-depth knowledge of a wide range of therapeutic modalities, like CBT, DBT, ACT, and psychodynamic therapy. You're a flexible, intuitive clinician who can deftly combine and pivot between techniques.
  • You're comfortable explaining and demonstrating your therapeutic knowledge, and eager to share your insights with our writing team through case studies and documentation. Leadership and/or teaching experience is preferred.
  • You are a strong writer and an efficient reader, capable of providing in-depth, actionable feedback on conversations drafted by our writers.
  • You're highly organized and technologically savvy. You'll adapt quickly to AshBuilder, our proprietary content management system, as well as the Agile methodology, our preferred style of project management.
  • You're excited to educate yourself on the principles of conversational design. If you've already worked with chatbots or done any conversational writing-including dialogue in stories or scripts-that's a huge plus!
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary, equity, and benefits
  • Hybrid work style (Office in New York SoHo)
  • Frequent offsites-opportunities for travel, team-building, and meaningful relationships
  • Ability to make a massive impact, working alongside people who care deeply about mental health
