Day Shift - 7.5 Hours (United States of America)The Clinical Liaison Nurse is responsible for monitoring and coordinating patient care to assure an organized multidisciplinary approach through the following activities:Qualifications:-Interprets, supports, and practices the mission and philosophy of the hospital and Department/Services.-Supervises the staff in the Emergency Department in the absence of the Manager/Director.-Assist with the functions of interviewing, scheduling, performance appraisals and makes recommendationsconcerning hiring, disciplining and terminating as appropriate.-Plans appropriate staffing practices by maximizing the utilization of resources.-Forecasts and anticipates the personnel needs of unit with regard to fluctuations in the patient workload.-Functions as a clinical role model and serves as patient/family advocate.-Assist the nursing staff to solve patient care problems.-Assist the nursing staff in the development of decision-making skills in clinical situations.-Identifies learning needs of the nursing staff while in the clinical practice setting.-Consults with Nursing Administration & Nursing Education regarding educational requirements ofnursing staff Participates in the evaluation of patient care through quality assurance/performance improvement activities.-Works closely with hospital administrative, department heads and physician staff in order to better coordinate all aspects of patient care.Requirements:-BSN required; MSN preferred; CEN preferred.-Current NY State RN License required.-Current BLS & ACLS required.-Five years progressive nursing experience with a minimum of two years of-Emergency/Critical Care exp required.-Prior teaching experience preferred-TNCC must be obtain at 6 months of employmentSalary Range: $60/hr - $65/hr If you like wild growth and working with happy, enthusiastic over-achievers, you'll enjoy your career with us!
