Responsibilities

A Registered Professional Nurse who is responsible for the management and quality of nursing care. The Clinical Manager Emergency Services will ensure throughput and patient flow are maintained. The role will require clinical participation in providing emergency care.

The range for the role is $86,239 USD - $107,803 USD Annually.

Garnet Health System provides a compensation range to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits. When determining a team member's compensation and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

* A Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing is strongly preferred and a Master Degree in Nursing or a related area is preferred

* For those without a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing on appointment, one must be obtained within three years of the date of appointment

Minimum Experience:

* Three-year's experience as a Registered Professional Nurse in an Emergency Department

Required Certification/Registration:

* Currently licensed and registered in NY State to practice as a registered professional nurse.

* On hire, the following classes will be completed, with a valid course completion card issued by an organization acceptable to the hospital presented and employee will maintain a valid card for the duration of employment:

* Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

* Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

* Prior to the end of the orientation period, employee will show proof of successful completion of the NIMS 100, 200, 700, and 800 classes

* Within three months of assignment, employee will attend a hospital-sponsored Crisis Training Program and will attend at least annually for the duration of employment.

* Within six months of appointment, attends the New Leadership program offered by the health system

* The following certification classes are preferred

* Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) presented by the Emergency Nurses Association

* Emergency Nurses Pediatric Course (ENPC) presented by the Emergency Nurses Association

The following Board Certifications are preferred:

CCRN issued by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses

CEN issued by the Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing

Physical Requirements: Travel to multiple facilities is required.

Working Conditions:

* Environmental Demands and Exposure to Hazards: Works in a clean, well- lighted, heated or ventilated facility. No routine exposure to hazards.

* Physical Demands: Demonstrates physical and functional ability to perform full anatomical range of motion to accomplish tasks. Evidence of visual and aural acuity and finger and hand dexterity to operate computer and office equipment. Can withstand long periods of sitting, standing and/or constant walking. Ability to lift 50 lbs.

* Mental Demands: Ability to foster collaborative relationships, to work well under pressure, to organize and synthesize new information, and prioritize tasks. Possesses critical thinking, analytical skills and flexibility. Ability to multi-task. Required detailed attention to work in an environment where interruptions cannot be controlled. Demonstrates sensitivity to customer needs and expectations. May be subject to irregular hours including evenings or potentially weekends to participate in operational and community events as necessary.
