CareStar is bidding to be a Statewide Case Management Services Provider to Individuals who qualify for the Rare and Expensive Case Management (REM) Program through the Maryland Department of Health. To lead this Program in Maryland, CareStar, Inc. is currently seeking a Clinical Manager to lead this Program in Maryland, promoting optimal services delivery in a manner consistent with CareStar's Purpose, Mission and Core Values, proactively develop organizational practices that effectively solve business and organizational needs, and ensure compliance with program rules and contractual requirements. The Clinical Manager will provide management, support and mentoring to their team as they assess the health and long-term care needs of each individual served.THE POSITIONCareStar is looking for motivated individuals who:
  • Current/active license as a Licensed Social Worker, Licensed Independent Social Worker or Registered Nurse.
  • Bachelor's Degree in business or a health-related field preferred.
  • At least five (5) of supervisory Case Management experience
  • 24 months of experience in data analysis, data trending, accounting or financial analysis desirable.
  • Directly supervises, manages and oversees staff, including employee hiring and separations.
  • Completes performance evaluations and establishes individual development goals and objectives.
  • Ensures new clinical employees and Clinical Supervisors receive the appropriate orientation.
  • Oversees high-risk situations or problematic cases; advises administration as appropriate.
  • Participates in quality improvement activities including, but not limited to, Quality Improvement Committee Meetings, project teams, and monitoring tasks.
  • Monitor clinical employees adherence to CareStar, program, and State performance standards and follow-up with individual or systemic problems as needed.
  • Understands and complies with CareStar Policies and Procedures.
  • Maintains confidentiality as related to patient information.
  • Follows the Acceptable Use Policy while using any information systems owned or controlled by CareStar, Inc.
