Job DescriptionPosition DescriptionMAJOR FUNCTION: The RN Manager for Urgent Care and Occupational Health is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the urgent care and occupational health departments. This role involves managing clinical staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care, and coordinating activities to meet patient and organizational needs. The RN Manager will demonstrate a comprehensive clinical knowledge of the respective area assigned and or general Ambulatory Division workflows. Assist (partner) Education department with supporting clinical role competencies that are required annually. Work closely with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, pharmacists, and allied healthcare providers, to support Scope of Practice for clinical roles and implement best practices and uphold standards of care while optimizing departmental efficiency. QUALIFICATIONS:Education & Experience:•Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) required; master's degree in nursing or healthcare management preferred.•Minium of 5 years of clinical nursing experience required. •At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role, with demonstrated success in leading a team in a healthcare environment required. Certification/ Licensure:•Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in NJ. Knowledge & Skills:•Must have critical thinking skills and maintain confidentiality.•Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously.•Knowledge of medical terminology and/or behavioral health topics specifically in obstetrics. •Strong decision making and prioritization skills.•Ability to work respectfully and professionally with the community, patients, families, and staff.•Sympathetic, mature, responsible, and reliable.•Strong patient engagement, interpersonal, and communication skills and ability to establish a therapeutic relationship with the patient.
