POSITION SUMMARYA registered professional nurse who under the general direction of the Department Director/Nurse Manager is responsible for the day to day operation of the department. The role has four primary functions: 1) operational management of the patient care process; 2) team building; 3) clinical and customer service role modeling; and 4) administration management development/support.BASIC KNOWLEDGEDemonstrated understanding of unit operations and motivational techniques. Demonstrated ability to work independently in an interdisciplinary environment. Commitment to own career development. Demonstrated ability to function as a member of a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal/behavioral skills. Customer service orientation, to include skills in problem solving.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the State of Vermont is required.
