Overview***This position will provide in-office and remote training and optimization for new and existing Care Centers. This role will cover the Florida and Georgia regions. We strategize, implement and execute – on behalf of the practices we serve.The Clinical Operations Training and Optimization Specialist works directly with providers and clinical staff to optimize their utilization of the Practice Management System (PMIS), Electronic Health Record (EHR) and related workflows. This role primarily works with practices utilizing athenahealth, a cloud-based electronic medical record and practice management tool. Success in this role requires independently assessing and delivering customer specific training and optimization with a client service-oriented mindset. This role will provide in-office and remote training for new and existing care centers in Texas and ArizonaResponsibilitiesPerform site visits to conduct outreach, education, training and orientation sessions for providers and ancillary staffDeploy and manage strategies and initiatives within assigned marketsIdentify opportunities and solve problems with assigned clinical practices, interacting with the Unified and athena teams as requiredBecome a Superuser for athena. This requires advanced knowledge of the tool and practice workflows to assist in the implementation of new divisions and optimization of existing practices.Develop subject matter expertise in athenahealth's core products and services, including practice management, patient engagement and the EHR. This includes attaining “Certified Unified EHR Trainer” as outlined by the Unified Clinical Operations team.Collaborate with cross-functional areas (e.g., revenue cycle, market teams) to create and distribute educational materials regarding athena, clinical updates, and common issuesUnify standards across multiple health care practicesTrain new care center employees on current practices and standardsAssess opportunities and risks during and after implementation of new practices and provide a custom action planEstablish working relationships and collaborate with providers and office staffGenerate call and visit reports and document all division encounters on Unified site rounding sheetsAssist with maintenance of user and athena configurationsPlan for and participate in events such as Committee Meetings, Networking Events and Educational Sessions that may fall outside of normal business hoursFollow all applicable federal/state regulations including HIPAAQualificationsBachelor's degree from an accredited university preferred or experience in Healthcare IT field3+ years experience with an EHR and/or Practice Management systemathena experience requiredExcellent written and oral communication skillsOutstanding customer service skillsModerate knowledge of Microsoft OfficeStrong organizational, problem solving and decision-making skillsAbility to prioritize and manage multiple projects and issues effectively and simultaneouslyStrong attention to detail, research and follow up skillsAbility to work both independently and in a team settingA customer service mindsetAn interest in learning and ability to independently build skills and expertise with team supportValid driver's license and reliable insured automobile required. Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time
