Join the dynamic, energetic team at the School of Nursing as our next Clinical Placement Coordinator!The Clinical Placement Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the School of Nursing by securing and managing clinical placements for students in both the baccalaureate and graduate programs. This position is responsible for fostering strong relationships with clinical placement facilities and working closely with nursing faculty to ensure successful student experiences. Key duties include coordinating and overseeing all aspects of student placements at the undergraduate and graduate levels.Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Clinical Learning and Simulation, this full-time, 12-month position is based at Tarleton's main campus in Stephenville, Texas. Work hours: Mon-Fri; 8 AM-5 PM or as work requirements indicate. Requires the ability to teach and/or work remotely at the University's discretion.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:* Collaborates with simulation coordinator to facilitate clinical placement schedule and simulation-based experience schedule* Works directly with the agency's clinical educators (or designee) or uses agency-specific software platforms to request clinical placement for undergraduate and graduate programs.* Ensures student and faculty compliance with all agency requirements through the systems designated by clinical agencies and/or the SON's clinical management system (e.g., Project Concert).* Provide facility information to the Assistant Dean of Clinical Learning and Simulation to ensure clinical requests meet the SON's mission and goals, the Texas Board of Nurses, and the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) requirements for student clinical experiences* Collaborate with the Assistant Dean of Clinical Placement and Simulation to orient all faculty to general clinical affiliation agreements, required evaluation documents and repositories, and general clinical requirements and expectations of faculty.* Review students' documents annually and notify students of compliance status and needed documentation.* Maintain faculty and student orientation programs to meet specific clinical agency requirements.* Collaborate with course faculty and clinical instructor to ensure completion of clinical agency orientation requirements* Collect formal evaluations of student evaluations of their experience at the clinical site, student evaluations of clinical preceptors/faculty, and agency evaluations of their experiences of the SON.* Report outcomes of evaluation data to the Director of Assessment and Accreditation and Assistant Dean of Clinical Learning and Simulation.* Other duties as assigned.Minimum Requirements:Education - Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience - Two years of related experiencePreferred Qualifications:Experience with health information managementRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:* Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.* Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.* Excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills.* Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Zoom, Google, and other database applications.* Proficient with PC and Mac platforms with experience in MS Office and the ability to learn additional software programs, including clinical placement, SMART forms, and other Microsoft forms programsPreferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:* High level of attention to detail.* Ability to create complex schedules.* Ability to work well within various types of teams.* Highly efficient organization and time management skills.* Ability to quickly learn new technologies and applications.* High comfort level with technology and schedule management.Other Requirements or Other Factors:* This position is security-sensitive.* This position requires some work beyond regular work hours.* This position requires up to 25% intermittent travel.* This position requires compliance with Tarleton State University and SON Policies and Procedures.* All tasks and job responsibilities must be performed safely without injuring oneself or others in compliance with Tarleton State University safety requirements.Registration, Certification, or Licensure:NoneSalary:Commensurate with experienceCommensurate with experience with a target base salary range of $44,000 - $48,400 negotiable based on funding availability and candidate experience/skillset in relation to the minimum requirements of this position.
