If you are in San Francisco CA or surrounding areas, you will have the flexibility to work from home and in the office in this hybrid role.

As a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, you will treat a wide variety of mental health conditions that reflect the needs of our diverse patient population. You will quickly build rapport with patients and coordinate care with internal and external providers by forming excellent provider-patient alliances. The Psychologist position is in an outpatient clinical setting where you will interact directly with patients.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct individual, family or group therapy sessions based on ethical and medical necessity guidelines
  • Develop and coordinate a clinical treatment program for the diagnosis, treatment, or referral of patients presenting mental health conditions
  • Conduct psychological assessments and interpret results
  • Involve patient and/or family in treatment planning as appropriate
  • Lead crisis intervention methods and provide insight into the development of functional assessments and behavioral intervention plans
  • Complete clinical documentation according to policy

Required Qualifications:

  • Active and unrestricted (PhD, PsyD) license in the state of California
  • 2+ years of experience providing direct psychotherapy services to individuals, families and groups

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Significant experience evaluating adults and/or children in an outpatient clinical setting
  • Experience with health psychology
  • Experience working with computers for professional communication and medical documentation – Excel, Outlook, Athena RMS (or other EHRs)
  • Knowledge and experience in providing neuropsychological, CBT, and other evidence-based interventions
  • Proven to be comfortable working with a wide range of clinical presentations
  • Proven to be comfortable completing diagnostic assessments, general psychiatric testing, and providing direct therapy in an outpatient clinical setting

California Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $88,000 to $173,200 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
