Job DescriptionThe Mount Sinai Health System seeks Clinical Psychologist for its Center for Stress, Resilience and Personal Growth!Center for Stress, Resilience and Personal Growth (CSRPG), a highly dynamic and innovative clinical service within the Department of Psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, is seeking a New York State licensed clinical psychologist (PhD/PsyD) to join the program as a faculty member. CSRPG takes a multi-disciplinary approach to address the needs of Mount Sinai's healthcare workers, their adult dependents, and the broader community. A primary goal of CSRPG is to help our workers recover from their mental health concerns and even become more resilient, thereby helping to ensure the future of our health care system. We also specialize in supporting members of the community in recovering from acute stressors, depression, anxiety, and posttraumatic stress disorder, with an emphasis on building long-term resilience. As part of this work, the Center offers its own mental health treatment services to better serve the diverse population of Mount Sinai employees and their families. CSRPG also offers resilience training, confidential consultations, and a resilience-building resource app. The psychologist's primary responsibilities would be to conduct mental health intakes and provide individual psychotherapy. The psychologist will work closely with other faculty members of the program and our team of licensed clinical social workers to deliver psychotherapeutic treatments within an outpatient faculty practice model, which integrates principles of measurement-based care. There would also be opportunities to facilitate resilience training workshops, conduct on-site resilience-building huddles, and to assist with clinical research projects. The psychologist in this full-time position will devote 23-26 hours per week to evidence-based individual care. The remainder of the 37.5-hour work week will include attending meetings and supervisions, case management, documentation, and liaising with primary care practices to support employee referrals. Responsibilities and distribution of effort may change based on the Center's needs.ResponsibilitiesApplicants should have aptitude in the delivery of evidence-based treatments for mood and anxiety disorders, including cognitive-behavioral therapy for depression, anxiety, and PTSD. Through not required, applicants who are bilingual, have training in DBT and/or ACT, experience with maternal mental health, and/or a background in health psychology are strongly encouraged to apply. At present, therapy is provided largely via telehealth, with some in-person visits by patient request. We have a hybrid model, with staff reporting to one of our locations at 150 East 42nd Street or 1240 Park Avenue two days per week and working three days remotely. Some scheduling flexibility is required, and staff must be able to offer 4 appointment slots from 5-7 pm and/or 7-9 am, as needed by patients. The remaining days will be 9-5.This clinical arm of the Center is part of the Mount Sinai Hospital Psychiatry Faculty Practice Associates (FPA).
