The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiovascular Disease, is creating a new Cardiovascular Clinical Trial Unit (CCTU) to manage all of Cardiology's exciting, world-class clinical research! As a result, we are seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator III to join this new team.To learn more about Cardiology's exciting clinical research, please visit: Responsibilities* To serve as a lead coordinator by providing oversight to less experienced staff to ensure quality and regulatory compliance with clinical research operations.* To coordinate and manage the research study lifecycle from start-up through close-out.* To coordinate and conduct all applicable clinical and administrative activities required by the protocol such as screening, scheduling, consenting, assessing, ordering, collecting, documenting and shipping under the auspices of Good Clinical Practice (GCP).Key Duties & Responsibilities* Manages day-to-day duties of CRC I and II.* Recruit, screen, consent, and enroll participants.* Implements study participant recruiting and screening protocols.* Meets recruitment and enrollment goals.* Manage all aspects of assigned clinical studies including education.* Collects, analyzes, and enters data for clinical trials and ensures quality control.* Completes enrollment logs, informed consent logs, and all other data forms with high accuracy and attention to detail.* Assists in the coordination of lab work.* Prepares for study monitoring visits.* Ensures that documents such as eligibility forms and informed consent are appropriately gathered and maintained, and IRB-, Good Clinical Practice-, and HIPAA regulations are followed.* Uses REDCap and SPSS databases to enter and summarize study data.* Monitors compliance of study procedures with federal, state, and university regulations.* Performs general clerical duties (faxing, scanning, routing messages, coordinating the purchase of study supplies/materials).* Work with minimal supervision, plan, organize, and coordinate multiple work assignments, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.* Effectively and professionally communicates sensitive information and maintains confidentiality.* Assist with regulatory submissions and duties.* Performs other duties as assigned.Annual Salary Range: $60,835 - $98,855Bachelor's degree in a related field and five (5) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
