Manage clinical materials. Knowledge of & Ability to
  • Title V Maternal and Child Health Services Block Grant Program
  • WIC, MCAH, and Immunization programs, including grant requirements, reporting, and billing
  • Grant management, including WIC, MCAH, and Immunization program maintenance
  • MCAH contracts and reporting requirements
  • Electronic data and billing systems, including IWIN, IRIS, Focus, Softactics, ClaimMD, and Iowa Connected data systems
  • Electronic health records
  • Current office practices and procedures
  • Mathematical computations and reporting methods
  • English language to include grammar, spelling, sentence structure, vocabulary and proofreading skills

Minimum Education, Training & Experience & Special RequirementsBachelor's degree in nursing, nutrition, public health or other related field AND at least one (1) year of public health or related experience. Special requirements: Valid driver's license and insurable under county liability coverage. May also require use of private vehicle, or equivalent transportation, for official business. Must pass background check. Specific DutiesThe following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
  • Coordinate data collection and reporting for Clinical Services programs, services, and grants.
  • Assist in development and maintenance of policies and protocols for Clinical Services programs and services.
  • Assist with preparation of Division/program budgets and program planning/development.
  • Assist with scheduling Clinical Services staff to ensure appropriate clinic coverage and assigned program duties are completed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure adequate and complete documentation in all Clinical Services databases.
  • Assist with external and internal communications including answering and directing phone calls, responding to inquires; and greeting the public.
  • Assign clerical tasks, instruct and assist clerks. Provide guidance and clarification in accounts payable and grant expenditure reports.
  • Assist with complex financial reports related to local, state, and federal grants and contracts.
  • Participate in training/educational opportunities and work-related meetings as required.
  • Perform all work duties and activities in accordance with County policies, procedures, and safety practices.
  • Represent the Public Health department and participate in meetings as assigned.

Sick LeaveAccrues at the rate of 18 days per year on a per-pay period basis to a maximum accrual of 120 days. After accumulation of 90 sick days, employees may convert sick leave to vacation on a 4:1 basis.Parental LeaveA paid two-week (80 hour) paid parental leave is provided to full-time benefit eligible parents to allow for child bonding time.   • Single coverage is $32/month for eligible full-time employees; family coverage is $112.00/month.
Dental Care CoverageEligible employees may elect dental care coverage the first of the month following one full month of employment. Single coverage is paid by the County for eligible full-time employees; family coverage is a cost between the County and employee.Vision Care CoverageEligible employees may elect vision care coverage the first of the month following one full month of employment. Employees may select from several companies offering deferred compensation.
