Basic Function:With general policy direction, develop, plan and oversee the administration of complex community-wide service programs; supervise a large or highly sophisticated direct services group; act as liaison for community agencies, doctors and clinical social workers.Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that the activities of this position and relevant programs are consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Catholic Charities, Diocese of Cleveland.
  • Conduct staff conferences to discuss clinical issues, referrals, protective issues, education, closings, assign cases.
  • Serve as link between patient, psychiatrist, and clinical social worker.
  • Work directly in treatment relationship with patients, individually or in groups, in the office or at home where appropriate and as determined by program(s).
  • Refer patient or patient's family to other community resources.
  • Initiate and coordinate planning affecting programs; detail guidelines for plans, review results; recommend policy/procedural changes.
  • Supervise preparation of required reports, records and statistics.
  • May either be responsible for or assist director in selection of professional personnel providing direct services as determined by site or program(s).
  • Supervise employees of the unit on the basis of prescribed procedures and policies; advise on procedures and handling of personnel problems; ensure policies and procedures are being followed.
  • Maintain frequent contacts with peers and/or administrative related personnel in other agencies for client and agency related information for joint planning and action.
  • Perform other duties as necessary to accomplish objectives.
Requirements:
  • Combination of education and experience normally represented by a Master's Degree in social work or professional counseling or related field.
  • LISW-S or LPCC-S required.
  • From three to five years of relevant experience.
  • Must have excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must be able to form good working and therapeutic relationships.
  • Must have the ability to relate to a wide variety of people, both professional and volunteers; as well as organizations and systems, both public and private.
  • Strong assessment, treatment and case management skills.
  • Must be well organized, detail oriented and have the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work with diverse client population and community organizations as well as staff at all levels.
  • Must have the ability to effectively manage a variety of concurrent and varying activities.
  • For chemical dependency services, experience with adolescent chemical dependency.
  • Good working knowledge of computers and familiarity with Microsoft Office software.
  • Must have a valid Ohio Driver's License and reliable means of transportation for local travel.
