Location: Dobbs Ferry,NY, USA
Position Overview: To provide clinical, administrative, and case management supervision to Caseworkers / Case Managers and Social Workers / Clinicians in a residential treatment setting. Monitoring, tracking, and making required deadlines as per NYS ACS/DSS/OCFS/CSE standards, agency policies and procedures are required. SW Supervisor is responsible to assure that youth/family treatment goals are being met consistent with the treatment model through the services provided by Case/Social Workers / Clinicians. SW Supervisor is expected to oversee Family Team Conferences and chair various treatment and team meetings as necessary. SW Supervisor shall also support the Clinical Director in their absence. SWS shall carry out their work under flex-time to meet the needs of the clients.
The Social Work Supervisor shows dedication and willingness to work alongside the Integrated Treatment Model (ITM) team, supporting and carrying out the functions of the model to best serve the population. The Social Work Supervisor is expected to have a nonjudgmental approach that focuses on skill building and basic principles of behavior modification (reinforcement, extinction, blocking and shaping). Social Work Supervisor is required to function as part of a team, committing to modeling pro social behavior and building positive relationships with all residents.
The Social Work Supervisor is also responsible for providing clinical services to residents who present with problematic sexual behaviors and their families, as needed.
Position Qualifications:
* MSW. Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). LMHC and LMFT considered.
* Strong knowledge of NYS CONNECTIONS, required.
* Four years full-time paid experience as a Social Worker in child welfare/foster care/ DJJ/OCFS, required.
* Strong clinical and administrative skills to supervise Social/Case Work staff, required.
* Knowledge of / experience with Dialectical Behavior Therapy, preferred.
* Knowledge of / experience with treatment of problematic sexualized behavior, preferred.
* Valid NYS Driver's license, required.
* Experience working with older adolescents, preferred.
* Bi-lingual, Spanish.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work flex-time, required.
* Experience in running groups (youth, parent, etc).
* Ability to multi-task and make decisions under pressure.
Schedule: Your schedule will be Monday-Friday 9am-5pm with Saturday & Sunday off.
