JOB SUMMARY
The incumbent of this position serves as a Clinical Supervisor in the Clinical Services Administration, Department of Behavioral Health (DBH). The incumbent is primary responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing a full range of community behavioral health series responsive to the needs of a culturally diverse population. Manages an interdisciplinary team and provides direct supervision to staff. Plans and coordinates work to be accomplished; determines and establishes priorities; develops schedules for completion of work; and makes work assignments. Provides direct care and assessment services to individuals as well as community partners and stakeholders in crisis. Exercises initiative and leadership to acknowledge and greet clients and providers seeking services. Participates in community based emergency service responses with Metropolitan Police Department. Responsible for managing and supervising an interdisciplinary team; ensuring, with support of CRT leadership, adequate shift coverage; planning, coordinating and prioritizing work to be accomplished; providing direct services as needed to individuals in need of support; and supporting community partnership and engagement by attending events and meetings with stakeholders or agencies partnering with CRT

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENT:
As a basic requirement, all applicants must have successfully completed a four (4) year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a Bachelors or higher degree which involved major study in an academic field related to health or allied sciences. This position requires one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in the normal grade level progression for the position to be filled. Specialized experience is experience which is directly related to the position to be filled which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position to be filled.
LICENSURE
This position requires a licensure clinician which includes LICSW, psychologist, RN, LPC, etc.
EDUCATION
Bachelors or higher degree which involved major study in an academic field related to health or allied sciences
WORK EXPERIENCE
Experience planning, coordinating, and directing, a full range of community behavioral health services responsive to the needs of the population.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed in consumer residences, community-based facilities or specialized service centers throughout the District of Columbia metropolitan area. Some degree of hazard may be present in working with emotionally disturbed consumers and their families and caretakers.

RESIDENCY PREFERENCE
A person applying for a position in the Career Service, Educational Service, Management Supervisory Service, a line attorney position in the Legal Service (series 905), or an attorney position in the Excepted Service (series 905) who is a bona fide District resident AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION for the position may be awarded a 10-point residency preference over non-District applicants, unless the person declines the preference points. If selected, the person shall be required to present proof of bona fide District residency and maintain such residency for 7 consecutive years from the effective date of the appointment. Failure to maintain bona fide District residency for the 7-year period will result in forfeiture of employment.
