The program offers comprehensive Substance Use education and treatment, as well as aftercare preparation. Entry into the program is typically through direct referrals from trial courts across the state. Additionally, the program extends its services to 18-21-year-old first offenders under , as well as those who refer themselves.The program is structured around evidence-based treatment practices, aiming to empower participants through didactic and motivational sessions. Participants engage in counseling sessions, participate in small group activities, and follow a structured classroom curriculumThe RoleAs a Clinical Supervisor, you will lead our Substance Abuse Treatment Program, playing a crucial role in overseeing the delivery of evidence-based, professional clinical services within a two-week residential substance abuse program. Your responsibilities include supervising and coordinating clinical activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering a supportive and collaborative team environment.Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all clinical activities to ensure quality, evidence-based services.
- Maintain open and professional communication with clients, staff, and external contacts.
- Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures for quality care and regulatory compliance.
- Provide supervision to clinical and educational staff, conducting timely job performance evaluations.
- Schedule, design, and implement staff training and development activities.
- Ensure adequate clinical staffing patterns and assist in hiring activities.
- Assist with grant writing and fundraising activities.
- Act as a liaison between courts, agencies, and the program on clinical issues.
- Prepare reports, facilitate administrative meetings, conduct case conferences, and participate in other assigned meetings.
- Provide direct client care as needed and supervise client medication procedures.
- Coordinate and participate in client disciplinary procedures.
- Perform on-call duties as assigned by the Program Director.
- Ensure consistent use of best practices and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Abide by all MHSA policies, maintaining strict confidentiality and ethical standards.
What We're Looking For
- Master's Degree in counseling, mental health, social work, or a related field.
- Independent licensure (LADC I, LMHC, LICSW, LMFT, etc.) eligibility required; full licensure preferred.
- Minimum of one (1) year of licensed clinical supervisory experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years of substance abuse counseling experience.
- Fundamental knowledge of substance abuse and treatment.
- Familiarity with MA DPH/BSAS regulations.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a diverse population.
- CPR, AED, and First Aid Certification (MHSA will provide training if needed).
- Routine travel required; valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Bilingual, especially English/Spanish, is preferred.
