  • Position: Clinical Support Specialist/Delivery Tech
  • Location: Wichita, KS
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. Weekends/On-call: as determined by leadership
THE POSITION: Clinical Specialist/Delivery Activities:
  • Establishes and maintains effective relationships with the patients, families and caregivers as well as all PHS employees.
  • Manages time efficiently and be competent in estimating drive times.
  • Assists Respiratory Service Department which may include delivery, education, home environmental assessments, and setup of equipment to patients (including oxygen systems).
  • Completes follow-up visits for non-clinical respiratory patients.
  • Manage equipment maintenance schedules.
  • Schedules and makes visits/deliveries to patients' homes in a timely manner.
  • Identifies and reports potentially unsafe conditions.
  • Performs data entry functions to log customer visits, conversations and follow-ups.
  • Coordinates regular maintenance service to company vehicles.
  • Completion of diagnostic studies, including appropriate data transfer.
Warehouse Activities:
  • Compares identifying information, counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
  • Determines method of shipment based on time constraints and customers' special needs.
  • Picks correct products per order and prepares packages for shipping.
  • Posts weights and shipping charges, and affixes postage.
  • Unpacks and examines incoming shipments for damage and reports to purchasing if needed.
  • Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
  • Assists others with locating and preparing equipment and supply needs.
  • Completes necessary warehouse-related paperwork.
  • Maintains inventory levels.
  • Orients and trains other staff to warehouse as needed.
  • Comply with regulations set forth by regulating bodies regarding the handling of certain materials (i.e. oxygen).
Office Activities:
  • Provide general support for all callers and visitors: questions, referrals, complaints, mail, etc.
  • Manages education material inventories.
  • Assist with coordinating building maintenance and office equipment needs, including landlord/service provider/vendor relations.
  • Assist with assigned Customer Service duties.
Equipment Processing/Biomed Activities:
  • Cleans, tests, and performs minor repairs & maintenance on equipment and related accessories per company policy and manufacturer's recommendations.
  • Recommends improvements and/or procedural changes to the Biomedical Supervisor.
  • Interacts with internal and external customers to provide assistance with equipment needs.
  • Completes equipment processing administrative tasks such as data entry and paperwork.
THE QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Familiarity with medical documentation
  • Previous healthcare training
  • Ability to use navigation systems and follow maps
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Previous warehouse experience
  • Previous equipment repair/maintenance experience
