This role is also responsible for the knowledge, awareness and practice of Vital HealthCare Solutions Standard Operating Procedure and Corporate Compliance Plan. Incumbents will follow any other instructions, and perform any other related duties, as assigned by their supervisor.Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Review and accurately record patient medical history and other relevant information in accordance with policies and procedures regarding medical records; implements and adheres to policies which ensure patient confidentiality.
- Complete historical notes in designated Electronic Health Records (EHR) system.
- Manage and communicate provider schedules to VHS providers and partner facilities.
- Perform additional duties as requested, such as participation in department meetings.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to work on a company provided secure computer using Internet-based electronic applications.
- Organizational and problem-solving skills required.
- Ability to cooperate with and support other members of team.
- Detail and quality oriented in relation to accurate information for medical records.
- Strong data entry skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently to meet daily productivity measures.
- Ability to use independent judgment and to manage and impart confidential information.
- Must reside in the state of Pennsylvania.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) Required
- Prefer prior experience in a healthcare environment.
Physical/Environmental Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to travel to and from meetings and appointments.
- Work involves the ability to read medical records, paper or electronic.
Remote Work Requirements:
- Ability to perform work in a secure and work-focused environment, assuring confidential access and review of patient information. Home office preferred.
- Must have access to high-speed, reliable internet for video calls.
