Job Type TemporaryDescriptionSchedule:Part-Time: Saturday & Sunday 8a-4:30pmSUMMARYProvide supportive presence for Clinical Staff in all areas of programming. Interaction with residents including clinical activities, transportation to offsite services, recreation, work projects and volunteer activities. Assists in daily duties such as searching of residents, providing oversight of medications, and assisting in the instruction of daily living skills.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Meet with staff at the start of shift to get direction for the shift
- Engage residents in the use of Independent Living Skill activities
- Supervise residents in chores and responsibilities
- Supervise residents in meal prep, at meals, and at cleanup
- Be available to residents for support, encouragement and direction when needed
- Conduct regular house and bed checks according to program's procedures, as well as room or property searches as assigned
- Conduct person searches as outlined in the program policy and under the direction of the Program Director or designee
- Maintain primary responsibility of the medication office to include ordering medications, reviewing current stock of medications, reviewing MAR sheets for compliance and any possible errors, coordinating with the pharmacy as needed, and alerting the Director to any concerns regarding the procedures of the medication office.
- Perform other duties as assigned, which could include but may not be limited to: Cleaning, Filing, Copying, Baking/cooking, Snow removal from emergency exits at all times, purchasing of program supplies, to include food items
- Supervise and participate with residents during recreational, vocational and educational activities including meal preparation, cleaning, hygiene, nutrition and daily chores
- Maintain Standards that apply to Confidentiality and 42 CFR/HIPAA
- Must be knowledgeable and able to demonstrate the Canon of Ethics, healthy professional relationships and boundaries with clients and co-workers
- Ensure the delivery of prompt medical attention in cases of illness or accident, report any such incidents to the Program Director/Supervisor, complete untoward incident reports and documentation as required. Utilize the On-call system as needed.
- Obtain breath and urine samples for AOD testing
- Attend staff meetings, in-service and conference/trainings as assigned
- Convey information inter/intra agency
- Be sensitive and responsible to public relations within the community
- Maintain basic knowledge of the physical plant
- Utilize program consumables and supplies cost effectively
- Transport residents to appointments and activities as needed
- Safeguard, monitor and have oversight of self-administration of residents' medication as prescribed
- Engage in supervision as assigned

Must have 1 year of experience in working in a human services program in a caregiving role.Preferred: College Degree and experience in Substance Abuse, Mental Health, Physical Education and/or Recreation.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSMust maintain valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Must obtain/maintain current certification and/or training in CPR and First Aid, and any other areas specified by state law and agency regulation.Salary Description $17.00/ hour fixed
