Clinical Teaching Faculty - ONMMWe are currently seeking to fill our Clinical Teaching Faculty - ONMM position at the South Georgia campus with a highly qualified and passionate individual.Job Title: Clinical Teaching Faculty - ONMMDepartment: Clinical EducationFLSA: ExemptLocation: Moultrie, GAPOSITION SUMMARYPCOM South Georgia is seeking to fill a full-time clinical ONMM teaching position with the expectation of teaching campus lectures and skills laboratory sessions. The ideal candidate should be detail focused and exhibit excellent follow-through, follow-up and thoroughness of projects and tasks. Under the direction of the OPP Chair, the qualified candidate may participate in clinical education to medical students, off-campus in residency programs, or with a virtual platform as needed.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (but not limited to) This individual will be expected to teach osteopathic medical students in both lecture and laboratory sessions in all four years of the curriculum Evaluate, develop, and deliver course material to PCOM students in Osteopathic Principles and Practice Contribute to the education of osteopathic medical students, graduate students, interns and residents through classroom teaching, small group facilitation, as well as, one-on-one outside the classroom setting Serve in leadership and membership capacities on college and faculty committees Participate in professional and scientific meetings to further individual knowledge and to contribute to the development of other professionals Evaluate student progress in learning appropriate medical knowledge Communicate these evaluations to the student and the administrative/faculty members as appropriate Participate in the OPP lecture and laboratory series by serving as course director/facilitator as assigned Assumes responsibilities as assigned which may include site visits, faculty development, course evaluation and direction of junior faculty, osteopathic manipulative medicine scholars, or clinicians Works as a team in the leadership of the South Georgia Campus, Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine by reviewing test questions, volunteering for club activities and committee activities as assigned Perform student assessment and feedback in Primary Care Skills course Collaborate with faculty on test question development and review, curriculum development, learning objectives and lecture delivery; and analyze the outcomes for years one through four of medical school Participate/develop inter-professional education programming and clinical reasoning in basic science cases May participate in clinical lectures off-campus in residency programs or with an online system as needed Regular attendance at meetings as required Serve as a student mentor/advisor in career planning, study skills development and board examination preparation Other duties as assignedPOSITION REQUIREMENTSSkills and Abilities Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S Applicants must possess an understanding of Osteopathic Principles and Practice in medicine Familiarity with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel software as well as Learning Management Systems such as BlackBoard and Examsoft Familiarity with video conferencing platforms such as Google Meet, Zoom, and BlackBoard CollaborateEducation and Experience Candidates should have a minimum of a DO degree Five (5) years of recent and related clinical or academic ONMM experience A seasoned educator with experience in classroom teaching and working with osteopathic medical students in a laboratory setting (preferred) Certifications, Licenses, Registrations Board certification/eligibility in designated specialty ONMM or NMM/OMM strongly preferred Active Georgia medical license in good standingREQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR APPLCATION CONSIDERATION Curriculum vitae Letter of intentThe referenced salary range is based on PCOM good faith belief at the time of posting.
