Job Summary
The Clinical Team Leader provides clinical coordination of nursing unit activity, enforces quality initiatives and is knowledgeable of the operating budget in order to maintain fiscal responsibility. The Clinical Team Leader, a registered professional nurse, functions as a health care professional responsible for the safe delivery of patient-centered, goal-oriented care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. The Clinical Team Leader also directs and guides patient teaching and activities of ancillary personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing.
Experience
* Three to five years current experience as a RN in medical/surgical or designated specialty, including charge responsibilities, required.
* Evidence of performance as a professional role model and leader as evidenced by, Recognized by peers as an experienced and competent clinician in current med/surg (or designated specialty) nursing.
* Demonstrates ability to delegate appropriately.
* Active participant in informal staff education.
* Excellent interpersonal skills required.
* Demonstrates dependability in maintaining a committed work schedule, acting as a role model for others.
* Demonstrates participation in activities that support the hospital's mission and goals for outstanding patient care, (i.e., committee participation, QI participation, recent preceptor experience, etc.).
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with evidence of accuracy.
* Demonstrates energy and enthusiasm required to motivate others toward change in a supportive manner.
* Demonstrates leadership ability in high stress situations.
* Maintains professional conduct in front of patients, families, physicians and staff at all times.
* Good judgment in creating assignments, i.e., appropriate patient caseload, fairness, consistency, and concern for patients first.
* Demonstrates the ability to utilize critical thinking skills.
* Sets the example for staff behavior through professional attitude toward work.
* Understands concepts of professional nursing. Treats co-workers with dignity and respect.
Education and Training
* BSN required (or currently matriculated in a BSN program).
License, Certification & Registration
* RN License - Currently licensed as an RN in Massachusetts
* CPR
Other Requirement
* Demonstrates continuing education in accordance with State regulations.
* Assures compliance with the unit-specific scope of practice.
* Must be able to speak the English language in an understandable manner.
* Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so the requirements of the position can be fully met.

Hours: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
Week 1: Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri Week 3: Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs
