POSITION PURPOSE AND SUMMARY In addition to the duties, responsibilities and expectations outlined in the Staff Nurse job description, the Clinical Team Leader is responsible and accountable for assessing, planning, organizing, directing and supervising unit activities under the direction of the Nurse Manager/ Assistant Manager.# The nurse practices in accordance with current established standards of care, the Nurse Practice Act, Powers Health policies and procedures, and supports the mission and philosophy of Powers Health by providing the highest quality care in the most cost efficient manner, provides for the well-being of the community, services the needs of all people and demonstrates the values: dignity, compassionate care, community, quality and stewardship. The Cardiovascular Clinical Team Leader will help support and develop new initiatives in the Cardiovascular area. By working with management, they will provide clinical and administrative support structure for Cardiovascular ICU and CV- IMCU. The Clinical Team Leader will engage the staff in quality improvement and guide in staff development and process change. They will also build cooperation and congruence between Cardiovascular ICU and CV- IMCU units and units working with in all areas of the Cardiovascular services. The Clinical Team Leader will also support the current Cardiovascular programs by participating in committees and providing clinical input. # EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.# Current professional licensure by the State of Indiana Health Professions Bureau.# ## BSN desirable. Cardiovascular ICU or Cardiovascular IMCU charge nurse experience required Certification in specialty area required or earns within one year of accepting position. Successful completion of Powers Health#s Personnel and Nursing Orientation Programs.# Current BLS provider. Current certifications required for specialty area (i.e. CPR, ACLS) Additional future certifications as directed/required. 3-5 years clinical experience in area of focus. Leadership experience preferred
