GENERAL SUMMARY: The Clinical Tech is responsible for providing direct patient care to patients with supervision by department nursing staff and/or physicians.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: High school diploma or equivalent and at least one of the following:
- Current nursing student who has minimally completed two semesters;
- LPN, EMT, Paramedic, or Medical Assistant program completion;
- Certification in Phlebotomy;
- Previous Clinical Tech experience.
Effective verbal and written communication skills and problem-solving skills.Ability to recognize differences in care of adolescent, adult, and geriatric age groups.Experience in an acute care setting, preferred.CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:Valid BLS certification or obtained during Patient Care Orientation.
