Job Description:

GENERAL PURPOSE:

Works collaboratively with faculty and residents to bring research ideas to fruition and support projects during their lifecycle. Owns research activities including maintenance of study timelines and project tracking database as well and development of study related documents. Utilizes tools for process and project data tracking. Possesses a strong knowledge of research processes, guidelines, and data analysis to provide robust support in publishing and tracking of research outcomes.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

RESEARCH ADMINISTRATION

  • Directly maintains and supports development and content of research intranet site, working with other research admin team members to ensure all sections are up to date and accurate

  • Looks for opportunities to engage and showcase the work that labs in the department of Urology are doing

  • Helps prepare necessary materials for attendance to key conferences as they relate to research

RESEARCH

  • Writes research protocols, consent forms and other documents required for regulatory review and submits regulatory

  • Works with data team to facilitate data request for preparatory research

  • Utilizes independent judgement and research expertise to support publishing of clinical research findings by editing and submitting manuscripts

  • Drives study closeout activities for investigator-initiated projects and ensures any research project transition meetings are properly documented and a plan is put in place for research continuation

  • Works collaboratively with data management to provide the study with accurate reports on status of data for assigned projects including - data processing status, outstanding data, and trends

  • Maintains study folders, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete. Follows up with other team members as needed to obtain necessary documents.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

  • Supports project management database in all areas of research

  • Creates Smartsheet timelines for new studies

  • Uses independent judgment on how and when to update project management data systems for projects

  • Facilitates processes to utilize data that enhances communication between team members as well as with faculty and residents to further mission of research program.

OTHER

  • Maintains current working knowledge of clinical research best practices, updates to federal regulatory, Good Clinical Practice, current industry standards for clinical research and project management professionals by regularly attending training sessions, meetings, and conferences

  • Maintains proficiency in all software needed to manage clinical research

  • Assumes personal responsibility for keeping up with new developments in the field, related literature, and relevant clinical standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree required with major course works in appropriate health, social science, or biological science field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 2-3 years of relevant clinical trials required.

  • Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice, protocol planning, implementation, coordination, evaluation, and reporting of clinical trials required.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, attention to detail and organization required.

  • Clinical trials project management experience preferred.

  • Clinical research professional/project management certification preferred.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $63,815 - $95,723 Annually

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
