Program: ROADS | Brooklyn, NY 11207What You'll DoAs a Clinician with HELP R.O.A.D.S., you'll be a critical member of a comprehensive, non-residential individual and family safety program providing a variety of services designed to assist in empowering survivors of domestic violence, other crime victims, and their families. You'll report to the program's Executive Director with a goal of helping families achieve safety and long-term stability and addressing the effects of abuse, neglect, and trauma.Your responsibilities will include: Providing empowerment counseling services for families - including advocacy, crisis intervention, and groups. Completing clinical assessments and treatment plans. Developing effective relationships with families. Facilitating appropriate clinical, therapeutic services as well as psycho-educational individual and group sessions, including parenting skills support groups. Advocating for and assisting families and individuals in the negotiation of services through social service agencies.You're a great fit for this role if you have: Master's degree in social work or related field preferred with Bachelor's degree required. Experience (at least one year) providing counseling and supportive services to domestic violence survivors and their families. Experience facilitating support groups and workshops. Knowledge in the modalities of strength-based empowerment.It would be helpful (but not required) if you have: Bilingual fluency (English/Spanish), as many of our clients are native Spanish speakers.We Have GREAT BENEFITS!
