CLO Operations Lead

A major CLO Asset Manager is in search of a strong CLO Operations candidate to lead a team in New York. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage CLO Operations: Oversee the entire CLO lifecycle, including structuring, issuance, ongoing management, and reporting.
• Ensure Compliance: Maintain adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies relevant to CLO activities.
• Documentation Oversight: Oversee the preparation and processing of CLO documentation, including credit agreements, amendments, and waivers.
• Performance Monitoring: Conduct CLO performance analysis, covenant monitoring, and investor reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including credit and investment teams, to facilitate CLO transactions and portfolio management.
• Data Management: Maintain accurate records of CLO transactions and portfolio data in the company's management systems.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• External Engagement: Liaise with investors, rating agencies, and service providers to address queries and manage relationships.
• Technology Integration: Support the adoption of new technologies and systems to enhance CLO operations and reporting.

The Candidate:

• Experience: Minimum of 10 years in CLO operations with deep expertise in CLO structuring, issuance, and portfolio management.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field; advanced degree (MBA, CFA, etc.) preferred.
• Expertise: Strong knowledge of CLO regulations, accounting standards, and market practices.
• Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical abilities with a keen eye for detail and accuracy in financial data.
• Leadership: Proven experience in leading and developing teams, with excellent management and interpersonal skills.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
• Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with CLO management systems and financial software; experience with fintech platforms is a plus.

Desired Skills:

• Process Optimization: Experience with automation tools and data analysis techniques to streamline operations.
• Market Knowledge: Understanding of CLO market trends, syndication practices, and rating agency interactions.
